MOTORIZED SPORTS USE

For safety reasons, DO NOT use the SpeedTrac X sports radar for clocking motorized, high-speed vehicles, such as automobiles, off-road vehicles, ATV’s, motorcycles, snowmobiles, water craft, or other similar objects, unless done in a closed-course and under a monitored, sanctioned and insured official event. Your SpeedTrac X Radar Gun works great for motorized speed trials on vehicles such as Cars, Snowmobiles, Go-carts, Motorcycles, and ATVs. Be Safe!!

SPEEDTRAC X WAS ENGINEERED AND DESIGNED WITH SPORTING ACTIVITIES IN MIND, TO OPTIMIZE THE CAPTURE OF FLYING BALL SPEEDS SUCH AS IN HOCKEY, BASEBALL, TENNIS AND SOCCER.  THE CURRENT UNIT IS NOT DESIGNED TO REGISTER SPEEDS FOR RADIO-CONTROLLED VEHICLES, BASEBALL BAT AND/OR GOLF CLUBS HEADS.  EMG COMPANIES IS DEVELOPING TECHNOLOGY TO ADDRESS THESE SPECIFIC APPLICATIONS WITH A NEW PRODUCT RELEASE TO UNFOLD IN THE THIRD QUARTER OF 2006.

The SpeedTrac X unit is designed to clock objects that move directly in line with or away from the Radar Gun. The device is designed to measure and display the speed of objects; 1 Approaching the unit; 2 Moving away from the unit; 3 Passing over or under the unit; 4 Passing beside the unit. The most effective clocking range is within 30 feet. The unit is not designed to clock moving objects from long ranges. In motorized sports applications, it is best to go in a direction towards the unit. The unit will not be accurate for side-to-side measurements.

WARNING: Always be sure speed trials are performed in a safe, open area and that your SpeedTrac X Radar Gun is never hand-held. Likewise, it is imperative that you, the purchaser, never allow any other person to use or operate your SpeedTrac X Radar Gun with out reading the Owner's Manual in its entirety. FAILURE TO FOLLOW THESE WARNINGS COULD RESULT IN VERY SERIOUS BODILY INJURY OR DEATH.
